If you are finding that your mouse is not as responsive as it should be, this will be very hindering to trying to get the timing right in live production. Luckily, it might be as simple as a problem with the USB receiver being obstructed.
Look for this part of the receiver. In most set-ups, it will be on a USB extender to help create a clear pathway.
Make sure this extender is not behind anything, on the floor, or far away from the mouse and keyboard. You want it as close to the mouse as possible so the signal is nice and strong.
If you can’t find the receiver in the USB extender look for it in the back of the tower.
If it is in the tower then move it to the extender, if you have one, and keep it close.
Lastly, make sure that the batteries are fresh. Turning the mouse and keyboard off when the production is done, especially if it will be a few days before it will be used again, should help ensure that batteries don’t need to be changed as often.
I hope this helps get you back on track with making your live services. If you are still having trouble controlling your mouse, perhaps speed is the problem? Click here to read how to adjust the mouse speed to your taste.
Happy streaming and God bless.
